Meet Sam

Hammerside Co was founded by Sam Dedich, a Registered Domestic Builder with more than 17 years of experience across residential construction, carpentry, renovations and complex extensions.

With a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering and a career that began working hands-on as a carpenter for some of Melbourne's well-established builders, Sam developed his experience predominantly through period homes, complex renovations and technically challenging extensions.

That combination of formal study and practical experience has shaped the way Sam approaches building today. He brings an understanding of both the technical and practical sides of construction, with a strong focus on finding solutions when the straightforward answer isn't always the right one.

Quality, communication and transparency sit at the centre of every Hammerside project.

Sam remains directly involved throughout the build—working hands-on where required, managing trades, supervising construction, coordinating the moving parts of a project and maintaining direct communication with clients.

For Sam, building is not simply about completing a set of plans. It's about understanding what the client is trying to achieve, solving problems properly and delivering work that stands up to scrutiny.
